Mr. Brian Curtis, currently 2nd Degree Black Belt and Instructor at the academy, has over 12 years experience in the martial arts. Mr. Brian began his training in 2000, and was awarded the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt in 2005 and became an Assistant Instructor.  He was awarded the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt in 2008 and became a full Instructor.  Mr. Brian has assisted in teaching the academy’s Women’s Basic Self Defense courses many times over the years.  He continues to train under Mr. Hornung’s instruction.

In addition to teaching and continuing to train in the martial arts, Mr. Brian has several other interests and hobbies. He enjoys playing softball in the Nashua Christian Men’s league, working out, cooking, golfing, reading, spending time with his wife, kids, and family dog, and vacationing at the family’s summer place in Maine.

Mr. Brian and his wife have four children and attend the First Baptist Church of Amherst, NH, where he is a member of the church leadership staff.   Mr. Brian and his wife are involved in missions work for the homeless serving at the Nashua Rescue Mission in Nashua, NH.

Mr. Brian sees his experience in martial arts as a life-long journey, providing healthy activity, knowledge of self-defense, vehicle for relaxation and stress relief, and the opportunity to teach and minister to others.
